“The next numbered entry in ATLUS’ beloved Shin Megami Tensei series is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch. In this epic role-playing game, order itself has crumbled and chaos reigns over all. Shin Megami Tensei V will have a simultaneous global launch on Nintendo Switch in 2021.”
In case you are unaware, Atlus and crew have a lot in store for Shin Megami Tensei V fans. With that said, tidbits regarding the fifth installation from 2018 (via ryokutya2089.com) note that the devs are making Shin Megami Tensei V with content appropriate for a numbered title, and they’re doing it without any compromises.
Secondly, many core staff that the game started with during the beginning of its development are slowly increasing. In other words, more people continue to sign on to help with the game’s development.
Furthermore, Atlus wants to make a game that people can enjoy playing on their TV and also considered a handheld device that provides fun experiences, through demon fusion, while laying down. In simple terms, the goal is to make a title made for both a console and a handheld device.
Lastly, Atlus wants lots of demons. On the topic of adding more stuff, Shin Megami Tensei V will have “three times the amount of effort put into the demons” compared to previous titles.
As mentioned above, Shin Megami Tensei V will release worldwide for Switch goers sometime in 2021.
