Given that Ubisoft has finally revealed both male and female versions of Eivor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on July 12th, 2020, you can compare the two characters to their real-life counterparts and see if they have differences or similarities.
For starters, Ubisoft had confirmed the people to portray and voice Eivor way back in early May of this year. However, back on that date, we only knew how the male Eivor looked, and now that time has passed, the company has shown off both genders of Eivor in-game.
With that said, you can be the judge as to whether or not the real-life people match their 3D counterparts or if Ubisoft took liberties to change them.
For starters, we’ll start with male Eivor and compare him to his voice actor or portrayer Magnus Bruun. If you don’t know, Bruun played in The Last Kingdom (2015), Long Story Short (2015), The Debt (2017), and now as Eivor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla:
Secondly, female Eivor and her portrayer Cecilie Stenspil can be seen here too. If you don’t know, Stenspil appeared in The Protectors (2009), Long Story Short (2015), Kollision/Collision (2019), and now as Eivor in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla:
It’s worth noting that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will let players switch back and forth between male and female Eivor at any time when playing the “next-gen” game. Although the way you might be able to do this might change at launch, in the demo, players can go into the options menu and press “up” on the D-pad, which will bring up the option to switch to the opposite gender when interfacing with the Animus.
Last but not least, Ubisoft — who is on the Traitors of America list — aims to release Assassin’s Creed Valhalla across PC via Uplay and the Epic Games Store, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Stadia on November 17th, 2020.
