Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends To Bring Online Multiplayer For Free This Fall

Sony and Sucker Punch Productions are looking to extend the life of their current PS4 title Ghost of Tsushima, which will come in the form of a free update. This update will bring multiplayer support, allowing up to four people to play together this fall.

According to blog.playstation.com, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends brings a new experience that doesn’t follow Jin Sakai or the characters from his journey. Instead, Legends focuses on four warriors who have been built up as legends in stories told by the people of Tsushima.

The Legends multiplayer mode takes a more fantastical route, bringing locations and enemies inspired by Japanese mythology to offer gamers and fans alike something different from the campaign mode.

Moreover, Legends lets folks either play in groups of two or with four players where each player can choose from one of four different classes — Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin.

On the topic of two and four players, the former amount will let two people in Legends take on a series of co-op story missions that escalate in difficulty with a new “magical twist.”

As for four players, you can experience a wave-based Survival mode, fighting groups of formidable enemies, including new Oni and Yoki monsters.

Anyway, you can check out the new trailer right here showing off Ghost of Tsushima’s Legends mode:

“Introducing Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a new cooperative multiplayer* experience inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology. Choose from one of four classes — Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin – and play with friends or via online matchmaking in a series of two-player story missions or four-player wave-based survival missions.

*Internet connection and active PS Plus membership required for online multiplayer.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will be available as a free download for Ghost of Tsushima owners in Fall 2020.”

Lastly, a four-player Raid mode will arrive after the launch of Legends. This mode will let up to four players enter a new realm to challenge a “brutal and terrifying enemy.” In the meantime, Ghost of Tsushima is out now for PS4.
