Persona 5 Set To Launch Over In Japan On September 15th

Atlus finally announced that the fifth implementation of Persona will be heading to Japan on September 15th, 2016. The game will be for PS3 and PS4, and will also sport a special 20th anniversary edition that features loads of new content.

Adding on to the release date and special edition news, Atlus also published two new videos in the wake of its announcement. Persona fans interested in the special edition for the fifth game will get a copy of the game, an art book, and an all-time best album.

Additionally, there will be five discs featuring music from the original Shin Megani Tensei: Persona all the way up to the latest game. This is also coupled with a special disc collaboration DLC set with Oprheus Picaro and Izanagi Picaro. If that’s not enough, Gekkoukan High School Uniform costumes and the Persona 3 battle BGM set will also make a splash in the DLC, along with Yasogami High School Uniform costumes with Persona 4’s battle BGM set.

The last thing that the special edition offers is a special custom theme, and an art treasure box. Aside from that, folks can feast their eyes on the latest Japanese trailer for Persona 5, which runs close to five minutes — thanks to Atlustube.

There’s also the staff interview video that reveals some added gameplay. Showing a few things similar to the video above, the official interview for P5 reveals some footage that’s also currently restricted in the video below.

Moreover, that’s not all, outside of the game the team announced that P5 will have an anime entitled Persona 5 the Animation: The Day Breakers. The 30 minute anime will be produced by A-1 Pictures, and will air sometime in September.

Last but not least, some nice screenshots also surfaced up for P5. The images show different variations of the special edition and PS4 and PS3 physical covers, as seen below.

Atlus will showcase Persona 5 at this year’s E3, which will run from June 14th to the 16th in Los Angeles, and will have a September 15th, 2016, release over in Japan. As for a western release, one hasn’t been set yet. To learn more about Persona 5, you can hit up the game’s Japanese website p-ch.jp for more info.
