Square Enix Releases Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Screenshots Showing In-Game Features

Currently without a Western release date, Dragon Quest Heroes 2: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End is slated to come out over in Japan on May 27th for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. In addition to this, Square Enix has published a new batch of screenshots for Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s JRPG, showing multiplayer functions and more battle scenes.

That’s correct, Square Enix released a batch of new screenshots that arrive ahead of any new information pertaining to Dragon Quest: Builders heading to the West. But, while we wait for more information regarding the Minecraft-like block building game, the screenshots for Dragon Quest Heroes 2: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End reveal more than enough.

These images show the online and multiplayer functions, along with more monsters during various battles. Thanks to Square Enix, you can view them below.

The images provide a nice look at giant bosses and how they measure out to the characters that players will be assuming. As noted above, the multiplayer is shown and we get to see the “Labyrinth of Space-Time” reflecting the co-op dungeon run.

It’s also possible to call for friends to help out during battles, or from other players during the story battle. In addition, cross play is said to work across PS3, PS4 and PS Vita platforms.

Lastly, the screenshots reveal some familiar characters from the first Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below, which they will be playable in the second game. We see this in a plethora of images showcasing the courageous heroes from the first game.

Dragon Quest Heroes 2: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End will be available to play over in Japan on May 27th, for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita this year. As for a Western release, one hasn’t been announced yet.
