The Cemu team has announced that the public version of Cemu 1.5.0 is now available to download. Last week they released version 1.5.0 to those who are sending them money through Patreon, and now they’ve made the Wii U emulator available for everyone out there who are either too cheap, too poor or too lazy to support them on Patreon.
The changelog hasn’t changed since last week, but you can check it out over on the Cemu website, where they reiterate from last week the details on improving the emulator’s sound emulation, the reduced usage of video memory on a GPU and other bug fixes and performance enhancements to get the emulator to run Wii U games at optimal speeds and with top notch graphics.
You can download Cemu 1.5.0 from over on the official Cemu.info website.
It’s a small download and you will need a Windows 7 64-bit OS or higher to run the emulator, along with OpenGL 4.0 compatible or higher GPU, and at least 4GB of RAM.

If you follow he progress on the emulator’s forums, they note that they have already released version 1.5.1 to Patreon users. So if you pay $5 you can already gain access to the latest version of the emulator, which many are saying has already made some significant leaps over version 1.5.0. You can also check out a video that he has up of Splatoon running in version 1.5.1. You can only access that version ahead of the public release by forking over some cash over on the Cemu Patreon account.
