Blood and Wine won’t be the end of the world of the Witcher per se, but it will be Geralt of Rivia’s last run. The latest DLC that has been teased for some time now will hit PS4, Xbox One and PC next week on May 31st. Joining this news, CD Projekt Red also released a new “Final Quest” trailer showing Geralt’s last adventure in Toussaint.
I know a lot of hardcore fans don’t want to see Geralt put down the sword and to give up riding “Roach,” but all heroes must see their end someday, well some. But I’m sure this won’t be the end of the world of the Witcher, just the protagonist for the past three games and the new Blood and Wine DLC, which will be out May 31st.
To be honest, I’m looking forward to CD Projekt Red’s upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 project, which seems pretty cool given that I’m a fan of cybernetic future stuff. However, bringing it back to the current game, the devs have an overview of the expansion Blood and Wine:
“Become professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia and explore Toussaint, a remote land untouched by war, where you will unravel the horrifying secret behind a beast terrorizing the kingdom. With all trails leading to dead ends, only a witcher can solve the mystery and survive the evil lurking in the night. Introducing an entirely new realm to traverse, new characters and monsters, Blood and Wine is a 30+ hour adventure full of dark deeds, unexpected twists, romance and deceit.”
The new trailer blends a lot of familiar scenes together in previous videos released for Blood and Wine, but I think we get a taste of some new segments here and there. You can watch it below courtesy of the Witcher‘s YouTube channel.
If you want to jump in and experience Geralt of Rivia’s last run, the upcoming Blood and Wine DLC will be out on May 31st, for $19.99. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
