Atlus announced Persona 5 will launch for PS3 and PS4 in the west on February 14th, next year. The launch announcement also noted two special versions that consist of a Steel-book Launch Edition and the Premium Edition.
Catching wind from publication Gematsu, Persona 5 follows a group of troubled high school students that are facing internal and external conflicts living the lives of dual Phantom Thieves. Players will follow the protagonist along with a collection of others in the adventures of the fifth game, which they attempt to live regular lives in Tokyo. After school, part-time jobs and other activities, they partake in otherworldly activities that allow them to enter into the hearts of other people.
Fans of the series who do and don’t know much about the world will find that the fifth implementation still revolves around exploring the human psyche and about humans finding their true selves. In this case, their power comes from the Persona (or one’s “self”) and must be used to help those who are vulnerable by society forcing them to wear masks to protect their inner problems.
This information regarding the main story also tags along with the special editions that’s now available for pre-order for western fans. These versions include the Steel-book Launch Edition and the “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition.
Until the game releases, it’s best to hold out on any information if you don’t want anything spoiled.
