Microsoft’s Games With Gold program for July will include four games for Xbox owners, two for the Xbox One and two for the Xbox 360. As is the case with most games given away each month, the two titles on the Xbox 360 will be backwards compatible for the Xbox One.
ZhugeEX sent out a quick news flash about the games being made available through July, tweeting the following.

Microsoft also sent out a quick promo video featuring the four games, two of which includes The Banner Saga 2 and Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.
The game that impresses me the most is TRON: Evolution. I’m glad this game is getting a little bit more exposure after a rather underwhelming release so many years back. The PC version would have been the better version had it not been gimped and crippled by that pathetic piece of abandoned software known as Games For Windows Live.
If you really want to get your hands on TRON: Evolution the best thing to do is wait for the middle of July when you can grab it for free starting on the 16th. The game will be made available throughout that time up until July 31st.
Preceding that will be Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, which will be available between July 1st and July 15th for the Xbox 360. It was a highly acclaimed and best-selling game when it came out, and was one of the few top-rated games from Ubisoft before they became a hit-and-miss publisher with a variety of hit-and-miss outings in the Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed franchises.
The Banner Saga 2 from Stoic Studio has been receiving a lot of high marks for it’s compelling story and its great visual effects, combining rotoscoped cinematics with hand-drawn characters and hand-painted backgrounds. The Norse-inspired story and grim tale of survival has left many duly praising the sequel to the turn-based RPG that originally gained legs thanks to Kickstarter.
Last but not least on the list is the multiplayer, competitive indie-puzzle game Tumblestone. The title will release first on every major platform, but will be free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers playing on the Xbox One starting July 16th.
