Thanks to this year’s Anime Expo that’s currently going on, folks interested in games that aren’t playable over in the west yet are now set to become available sometime in the near future. With that said, Aksys Games is bringing Chase: Cold Case Investigations – Distant Memories to the 3DS through the Nintendo eShop sometime this Fall.
If you like mystery games and investigating, you’ll likely find in interest in Chase: Cold Case Investigations – Distant Memories. In addition to the mystery game, publisher Aksys Games will be bringing it to the 3DS via the Nintendo eShop, which was announced during the Anime Expo event.
Moreover, the 3DS adventure mystery game is from Arc System Works, Another Code and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 director Taisuke Kanasaki, and from former CING staff.
If you’ve never seen the game before, not that this trailer provides all that much information on Chase, snippets of in-game scenes pop up every now and then showing various segments off. Courtesy of Rif Raff, you can check out the short trailer below.
If the above video didn’t help, the game’s official overview notes that there are two detectives, which one of them are an eccentric individual named Shonosuke Nanase and the other self-proclaimed elite detective Koto Amekura.
The two characters respond to a mysterious phone call that explains a case five years ago wasn’t by accident, but was a murder. This sparks the two to investigate the mysterious case, hence where the game starts.
Players are tasked to find if the case is all a mistake or if it actually stands to be an intended murder. Those excited for Chase: Cold Case Investigations – Distant Memories will find that the adventure mystery game will be available for the 3DS for the west through the Nintendo eShop sometime this Fall. No specific date was given as of this writing, which I’m sure will be announced sometime soon.
