Blade Arcus From Shining EX Western Release Set For PC Via Steam

Studio Saisenzen will be publishing the Western PC version of Blade Arcus from Shining EX, with the help of Degica, they will be working on some features for its release. Sega’s original version went by the name of Blade Arcus from Shining EX over in Japan, and will be renamed to Blade Arcus from Shining: Battle Arena for its Western release.

If you enjoy gaming on PC and like 2D fighting games, you’ll be in luck seeing how there will be a Western release of Blade Arcus from Shining EX coming to PC on July 28th. Although the name will change to Blade Arcus from Shining: Battle Arena, there’s no word that any characters or gameplay mechanics will change when it comes West.

The game features 16 different characters to choose from that hold their own special skills, which derive from the Shining universe. The list of characters consist of Ryuuga, Rage, Pairon, Sakuya, Xiao Mei, Roselinde, Altina, Melty, Fenrir, Rick, Dylan, Isaac, Rouna, Misty, Urayukihime, and Sonia.

Looking over to the fighting mechanics, the original Japanese version features a unique battle system that focuses on balance. This is said to spill over to this version, and allow for tag-based fights that are all about linking attacks and/or calling in your partner to help out in the heat of battle.

Moreover, the game will hold a special feature just for Steam called Online Mode. As its name implies, folks will be able to battle other players online and go head to head with friends in various modes like Versus Mode.

Lastly, fans will be able to master each character and their weapons that consist of blade, fist and magic. In addition to the characters, folks will find some faces from Shining Blade and Shining Hearts, as noted above.
