We Happy Few Launch Trailer Explores The City And The Garden District

Compulsion Games released a new launch trailer showing a rather interesting look at the city in We Happy Few. We also get to see a few glimpses of the outside districts — better known as the Garden. We Happy Few is out now for PC and Xbox One.

For those that don’t know, which I’m sure you might know already, We Happy Few is out and available to play right now. Although I do enjoy watching this game and like the premise of We Happy Few, I find it a little odd that an Early Access game is coming to consoles. I know the devs will seed updates to fix that, but I think it’s best to deliver a full package instead of doing constant patch updates like a certain wasteland game.

Anyways, the very intriguing game features some gameplay aspects in its new launch trailer, in case you are second guessing the game and are looking for in-game footage to win you over. With that said, the brightly colored, vintage game can be seen below, thanks to Compulsion Games‘ YouTube channel.

If you are wondering what the story is in We Happy Few and what you are doing, the description details just that if the video had you clueless:

“From the independent studio that brought you Contrast, We Happy Few is an action/adventure game set in a drug-fuelled, retrofuturistic city in an alternative 1960s England. Hide, fight and conform your way out of this delusional, Joy-obsessed world.”

“We Happy Few is about surviving in and escaping from a procedurally generated world, where you must learn to hide in plain sight. If you act out of turn, or you’re not on Joy (the local happy pills), the locals will become suspicious and will rapidly turn your frown upside down! Forcefully. You will need to practice conformity, stealth and combat if you want to survive long enough to escape.”

As noted above, the game is out now for PC and Xbox One. For more information regarding Compulsion Games and We Happy Few, you can either head on over to Steam, or compulsiongames.com.
