Doom fans who enjoy playing the multiplayer mode in Bethesda and id Software’s take on the classic 1990’s FPS game, will find that the “Unto the Evil” DLC is now available. Bringing the campaign mode’s UAC EMG Pistol, new armor and the demon the Harvester into the PvP mode, folks will be able to access all of this across PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
If you are new to Doom, this DLC package is the first in the new iteration of Doom’s lifespan. As of course, the DLC holds some content that adds more than some PvP stuff, which spills over into SnapMap.
Additionally, Bethesda announced that SnapMap’s update through the DLC will be free, adding new construction models, weapons, props, items and so on. This will also allow players to create their very own single-player stages like in the campaign mode.
Although this video is a couple of months old, you can check it out to get a better understanding on what will be in the current DLC.
The above video comes from the E3 2016 announcement regarding the “Unto the Evil” DLC. However, this leads us to the recent QuakeCon 2016 opening ceremony that described the new content.
Starting the DLC content off is three new multiplayer maps named Offering, Cataclysm and Ritual. As for the new weapons, the UAC EMG Pistol and Kinetic Mine are now in the PvP mode. More armor sets, patterns, colors, taunts and hack modules are added. As well as a new playable demon — the Harvester.
If you want, you can check out the video below showing all of the content listed above that comes from Bethesda Softworks.
As usual I’m not that fond of DLC, but if Bethesda and id Software’s Doom seems interesting to you, same with the DLC, it is now available. With that said, Doom is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. For more information on this game you can head on over to doom.com.
