Snowcastle Games announced the official release date for their turn-based RPG game Earthlock: Festival Of Magic, which before listed “This Fall” as the release window for the upcoming game. Now, folks will be able to play Earthlock on September 1st, which is set to debut for PC and Xbox One.
Those who have been keeping track of Snowcastle Games’ Earthlock: Festival Of Magic should know that the game was set to come out this Fall. Currently boasting a stable release date, fans will be able to pick up Earthlock next month on the first.
Speaking of Earthlock coming to Xbox One, gamers on that platform will be able to obtain the title for free according to the devs. However, the game will only be free after launch for those who are an Xbox Live Gold member. This will show up in the Games with Gold section sometime during its launch.
As noted on news.xbox.com, you can read a section of the post that confirms the above:
“Snowcastle Games has been in full production for the past four years on their first major title, Earthlock: Festival of Magic, and it’s coming onto Xbox One on September 1. Not only that, but the game will also be the first of four titles to be part of the Games with Gold lineup for September, with the remaining titles to be announced next week.”
This now brings the story of the game front and centered, which also links with the trailer below. Earthlock puts players in the role of Amon, who is a scavenger. He finds himself on a quest across the wonders of Umbra, the world that which stopped spinning thousands of cycles ago.
Running exactly for two minutes, the new trailer reveals not only turn-based battles but new landscapes, and more. You can check out this new trailer courtesy of Snowcastle Games.
Lastly, I should mention that PS4 players are not left out of the loop. According to publisher Soedesco, the team announced earlier this month that both digital and physical copies will be available sometime later this year for PS4 players.
Earthlock: Festival Of Magic is set to release for PC and Xbox One on September 1st.
