NBA 2K17 The Prelude Download Available For Xbox One, PS4

If you’ve been contemplating whether or not you want to jump into the upcoming NBA 2K17 and you haven’t been entirely convinced that the game is worth the price of admission, there’s a new trailer out called “Time to Assemble” and it’s been paired up alongside the new downloadable preview for NBA 2K17K called “The Prelude”.

This prelude is designed to give gamers a small, free sample of what the MyCreer mode will be like in the upcoming game. In addition to the trailer and the demo, there’s also the MyNBA2K17 mobile app that also become available for both iPhone and Android mobile devices. You can check out the new trailer below, which gives you a look at the upcoming sports title.

The trailer starts with a Tai Chi session featuring cover star Paul George, and the team ends up having to assemble (super hero style) as they meet up at a high-tech 2K facility. The theme of the trailer is pretty goofy but it’s nice to see that they don’t take themselves too seriously.

The Prelude demo will give you a look at the MyCareer mode along with the MyNBA2K17 app, which will allow you to pre-scan your face to make your character in the game. Additionally, if you pre-order the game you’ll be able to access NBA 2K17 four days early on September 16th. The full version of the game will be available next week starting September 20th for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC.

Part of the theme of this year’s MyCareer mode is based on Hollywood actor Michael B. Jordan, who accompanies your custom character through the career mode. You eventually form the dynamic duo known as “Orange Juice”, making decisions and deals that will either cement your tag-teaming legacy as a noteworthy NBA team or become a fractured unit in the pursuit of attaining the status of a legend.

You can download the Prelude right now by either visiting the Microsoft Store or the PlayStation Store.
