Astroneer, Space Exploration Game Set To Hit PC Via Steam This December

If you’re into space games just like me, and you seek to explore moons, planets and exoplanets in the vast realm of said space, System Era Softworks has a game that will come out near the end of this year doing just that. Previously sporting a release date of “Coming Soon”, Astroneer will now hit PC via Steam Early Access this December.

I’ve been keeping a close eye on this project known as Astroneer; System Era Softworks finally released some new information and gameplay footage that explores the depths of the upcoming space exploration game.

Those who haven’t heard of Astroneer there’s a summary below explaining what the game has to offer on release:

“As an Astroneer, you must find a way to dig out life on one of a multitude of harsh new worlds. Blast through the terrain to uncover precious artifacts and materials you can use to fuel your quest to become a wealthy baron in the stars. Along the way, discover oddities, raise questions, and uncover mysteries.”

One thing that scares me about this game is that it’s going to release on Early Access, where sometimes those games hold quite a few problems, or stay broken throughout their time on Steam. Although that’s not the case for every submission on Early Access, I hope that this game sees proper bug fixes, addresses community reported problems and other things to help its development in the future and establish a sound release.

Anyways, the devs posted up two new pieces of information that show Astroneer off in a unique way. First, the devs posted up new wallpapers for the game on their Steam page and Facebook. Second, they posted up a two hour long live-stream video on their Twitch page showing Astroneer in action.
