Blast Brawl 2: Bloody Boogaloo Lands On Early Access, Xbox One Oct 26th

Mind’s Eye Games announced recently that their side-scrolling, hack-and-slash, bloody action title, Blast Brawl 2: Bloody Boogaloo, will launch on October 26th for the Xbox One’s Game Preview program and on Early Access for Steam.

The game features seven playable characters, ranging from a ticky pirate to a bold warrior with an electric sword, to a brawler to a sniper to a ninja. They cover the canvas of tropes so you’re likely covered no matter what kind of character you enjoy playing as in a game.

The gameplay itself is fast-and-furious and takes place across four distinct levels. Utilizing the different abilities of the characters will help players manage the enemy threats and overcome the challenges presented along the way. There are zombies to battle, demons to kill, robots to roast and all manner of other unfriendlies to deal with.

You can get a look at the trailer below, featuring some of the high-octane gameplay.

So instantaneously, the one thing that stood out to me was the smooth-as-butter animations and the sleek gameplay. The fast-paced combat is accentuated well with the game’s cel-shaded art-style.

The real challenge of Blast Brawl 2 is that you will die in just one hit, meaning you have to make every move count, every hit connect and every strike deadly. Thankfully, there’s more than 20 hours worth of synthwave music to help keep you in the mood for combat and mangling enemies into mincemeat.

According to the press release, Blast Brawl 2 features retrowave artists like Protector 101, Dynatron, Flash Arnold and Kalax to name but a few. You can even get a small taste of the retrotastic soundtrack with the short trailer above.

You can look for Blast Brawl 2: Bloody Boogaloo to go live on Early Access or via the Game Preview program on the Xbox One for $14.99 starting October 26th. For more info you can visit the Steam store page or visit the official website.
