Dragon Quest XI Gains New Opening And Gameplay Videos

Fans who are like me and enjoy seeing new information regarding Dragon Quest should be happy to know that Square Enix released two new videos detailing information regarding Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time. The game will be for PS4 and the Nintendo 3DS sometime in 2017.

Square Enix and Toylogic’s upcoming JRPG is now being compared to Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and has quite a bit of people talking and comparing the two titles after the two new  videos for Dragon Quest landed on the internet not too long ago.

Speaking of the new videos, the opening movie shows various characters in the realm of the upcoming game while the gameplay video details what will be in Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time, which was shown during the Jump Fest 2017 stage event.

Before jumping into the videos regarding the game, we get some character bios and updates regarding the protagonist and Camus (the protagonist right-hand man). First up is the protagonist:

“A young man who lives in the calm village of Ishi. He was brought up soundly by the people of the warm village. The curtain opens on his adventure on the day he turns 16.”

Second up is Camus and his bio:

“A reliable partner. He is a blue-haired thief that the protagonist encounters on his journey. Although there is a rude side to his behavior and speech, he possesses a strong sense of duty and a warm heart. As a partner used to the ways of the world, he supports and guides the novice protagonist.”

Both videos come in by Square Enix official YouTube channel, and reveal the opening movie and gameplay for both PS4 and Nintendo 3DS.

Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time will release for PS4 and 3DS sometime in 2017. For more information regarding this game you can head on over to the newly launched teaser website.
