Tekken 7 New Trailer Reveals Launch Date Set For June 2nd

Bandai Namco just released a new announcement trailer for Tekken 7 that takes a nice look at the upcoming fighting game’s roster, which includes Akuma from Street Fighter, and reveals its June 2nd release date for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

According to Bandai Namco we learn that the game, Tekken 7, will sport well over 30 playable characters in its roster, which is said to include a lot of “fan-favorites” and all-new fighters. This obviously means more martial arts moves to master and other forms of player-made combos will surface due to the sheer amount of characters.

As most fans witnessed in the past, Akuma will make an appearance from Street Fighter into the 3D space of Tekken 7. He will come well equipped with all his Shoto-style moves and fireballs — bringing a spicy mix to the game.

Tekken 7 will also hold new battle mechanics, too. The classic 1 Vs. 1 will return along with new moves and battle mechanics like Rage Arts, Rage Drives and Power Crushes that is said to make gameplay more accessible for players of all skill levels. Hopefully said mechanics won’t allow noobs to clean pros on the floor with, because that would be mighty upsetting.

Anyways, the new video trailer sits below.

Although I do not condone folks to pre-order games, if you, happen to pre-order the game either across PC, PS4 or Xbox One you will gain access to the Eliza DLC, and those on Xbone will receive a free copy of Tekken 6 that takes advantage of the backwards compatible capabilities.

Folks who like DLC will find that a Season Pass will be available that grants players access to three content packs. These content packs include new characters, stages, a new game mode, costume packs, and a bonus 35-piece Metallic Costume pack.

Bandai Namco also detailed the Collector’s Edition that will contain a statue measuring approximately 12″ tall by 18″ wide that features a dynamic pose with Kazuya fly kicking Heihachi in mid-air, a special steel book, and the official Tekken 7 OST.

Tekken 7 will release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on June 2nd. Lastly, I’ll leave you with these screenshots to look over showing some of the characters featured in Tekken 7.
