Subsiege, RTS Game Coming To Steam On March 8th

We covered Subsiege before, but during that time the game had no release date to accompany its upcoming debut on Steam Early Access. Publisher Headup Games and developers Icebird Studios and Aesir Interactive just announced that their RTS will launch on March 8th, 2017.

If you are new to the game — which is more than likely seeing how the devs haven’t published that much information on the game — Subsiege is a real-time strategy game that pits players against mechanized underwater ships and sea creatures fighting for the last resources on Earth.

“In 2063, the world we know has ended. The climatic disaster, overpopulation and extensive consumption have resulted in the depletion of all natural resources on the continents. Now, the last resources on earth lie 30.000ft below the ocean surface.”

In addition to the above, the RTS main focus is on 12 player battles. Commanding handpicked squads of hero-like units, players will use each unit to battle opposing forces, sea monsters and compete for oxygen. The game will primarily play out in a ruthless and tactical way according to the devs, so skill and quick decisions will play a big part in this game.

Now that you have a basic ideal as to what Subsiege seeks to offer gamers, a video showing gameplay and what in-game conflicts look like can be seen in the game’s video trailer below by Headup Games.

Moreover, the developers finally announced the release date for Subsiege. The RTS game will be coming to PC via Steam Early Access at the beginning of next month on March 8th. This announcement is currently visible on Steam’s community news page and will most likely end up on the game’s official site.

Lastly, when the game releases it will sport a 35% off special for those who are early. You can learn more about Subsiege and the devs by checking out subsiege-game.com.
