Berserk And The Band Of The Hawk Now Available On PC, PS Vita, PS4

After having launched last year in Japan, the hack-and-slash action game has now officially released in North America for home consoles and PC. Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is Tecmo Koei’s Warriors-style Musou take on the dark-fantasy anime, Berserk.

The game features Guts and the rest of the Band of the Hawk, playable for the first time on eighth gen platforms. Players will be able to take on the role of Casca, Griffith, apostles like Zod, and some of the merry members of Guts’ traveling party following the Eclipse.

The game is still a standard hack-and-slash Musou game, but it has the added grit and grime of Kentarou Miura’s storytelling. The game will follow Guts from the time when he joined the Band of the Hawk, until well after the Eclipse.

Players will be able to venture through the different stories of various characters, similar to how Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors games setup.

Separate from those aforementioned titles, Koei decided to also implement more magic and strategic sub-weapon usage into the fold, giving players more options in how they take down foes.

They really knew how to pick a thumbnail for that trailer, eh?

In addition to the story mode and other characters, there’s also beastly transformations available for some characters, enabling them to dish out more damage and absorb more hits. Guts can transform into the Berserk armor. Griffith can transform into Femto, and Zod can transform into an Apostle.

Additionally, there’s an Endless Eclipse mode, where players will race around various maps to avoid being raped and killed, fighting off hordes of demons and learning how to get good.

You can pick up a digital or physical copy of Berserk and the Band of the Hawk right now for PC, PS4 or the PlayStation Vita.
