Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles Hits PS4 First On May 16th For $29.99

Treyarch and Activision announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3‘s presumably final DLC pack themed around zombies has an official release date on the PS4 of May 16th. The pack will feature all of the previous zombie maps in one giant remastered bundle that will likely bring the story to an end that Treyarch has told over the course of multiple games.

According to Jason Blundell, co-studio head at Treyarch, he mentioned in the press release…

“Together, we’ve been slaying the undead for nearly ten years, across different game consoles, and Zombies Chronicles is really about bringing all of those fans together. If you played these maps before on previous consoles, you’re getting a new, stunning and challenging experience – if it’s your first time, this is eight definitive experiences of our Zombies storyline, all in one place.”

The announcement was accompanied by a story trailer that follows a specter who flies through each of the zombie maps that will be in the pack, and ends with a little girl playing with the snow globe. You can check it out below.

A lot of people who have been gorging on the zombies content for the last decade (and wow has it been a crazy long time since Treyarch has been making zombies maps for Call of Duty) were all excited and stoked about the new remastered zombies pack.

Of course, that excitement may wane some when you find out that this DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is going to run you a not-so-low price of $29.99. That’s on top of needing to buy a full copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 separately.  Even crazier is that over on the PlayStation Store page you can actually Pre-Order THE DLC! Yes folks, we’ve reached a point where you can actually pre-order DLC.

For PlayStation fans the DLC will launch on May 16th and PC and Xbox One owners will receive the content at a later date.

For info on the system requirements for home consoles and PC (and how crappy is it that we live in an era where you need system requirements for home consoles?) by visiting the official Activision website for Call of Duty.
