Are you looking for a musou-like fighting game? Maybe you’re looking for a game set during feudal Japan with fictional action elements nestled in? If so, +Mpact Games seeks to bring Hanako: Honor and Blade to Steam Early Access come October 9th, 2017, for PC via Steam Early Access.
The latest action game set during feudal Japan, sporting fictional events to spice things up, comes Hanako: Honor and Blade. The game focuses on melee combat, but also features other long range weapons like bow and arrows to keep enemies at bay.
Although the game will not drop as of this month or in the next couple of months, you can get an early idea as to how Hanako: Honor and Blade will play out thanks to the official description highlighting key features:
“Travel through a beautiful, fictional rendition of the 16th century of Feudal Japan. Choose between four types of warriors as you learn to master intuitive, directionally-driven swordplay while also choosing unique abilities to ensure victory over your foes.”
As of now, the game looks to be holding some frame rate issues. Some of the animations could also receive some cleaning up, but aside from that the game doesn’t look too bad. I just hope that the devs stick around and support the game in the future, because this game has quite a bit of potential. However, you can be the judge of that and watch the official Early Access trailer below.
The game will supposedly feature multi-map online campaigns and simple to learn but difficult to master combat — and that’s assuming the net code and connect time is on point with the animations. Overall the fighting could be something to write home about given the game’s potential.
