Sonic Mania has gained a new trailer showing off the second Act of Chemical Plant Zone, which stands to be the second stage found in the second game. Sonic Mania is set to release digitally across PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch on August 15th.

Sonic is an iconic figure for some time now and to celebrate over 25 years of the blue hedgehog’s existence comes a new game that reimagines a lot of the classic stages in the Sonic game series. New features will also make an appearance in this game called Sonic Mania; but instead of dwelling on speculation let’s instead look over some actual footage that just rolled in for your viewing pleasure.

The new video footage that’s up only runs for 58 seconds, just two seconds off from being a minute, and shows Tails or Miles running through the second Act of Chemical Plant Zone. The video footage below comes in by Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel.

If you are new to the scene and never played Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the new iteration of the older stage sees new content added unlike the original version. The Sonic Mania makeover features additional routes, new dangerous hazards and many “surprises”. And to top the whole cake off, the newly shown Act 2 leads to an unexpected “finale.”

Before signing out, as of this writing there is an embarrassing and messy live stream going on right now that focuses on Sega games and Sonic. The live stream explores Sonic Adventure, the much unloved game by Sega known as Alex Kid, and something dealing with an ancient evil awaking from its sleep.
