Dragon Ball FighterZ Set To Make An Appearance At EVO 2017

Dragon Ball FighterZ was announced by publisher Bandai Namco back around the time of E3 2017; the game is being developed by Arc System Works and will be available to play across PC, PS4 and Xbox One sometime early 2018. If you happen to be a fan of the upcoming Dragon Ball game and wish to catch it soon, EVO 2017 will play host to one of its most recent appearances of 2017.

Unlike some of the most recent entries in the Dragon Ball game series that see a three dimensional world, the latest effort by Arc System Works explores a 2.5D realm coupled with 3 Vs. 3 battles. The different take on the latest Dragon Ball franchise resembles that of Guilty Gear Xrd (which Arc System Works developed), and is scheduled to release sometime early 2018.

Furthermore, if you happen to like the route that the devs are taking the upcoming fighting game and missed an opportunity to play said title during Bandai Namco’s presentation that contained a playable build at Microsoft E3 2017 press conference, then you are in luck given that Dragon Ball FighterZ will appear at EVO 2017.

The announcement of said game appearing at EVO 2017 comes in thanks to a recent tweet that the official EVO account published, as seen below.

EVO 2017 is set to kick-off on July 14th, allowing gamers, fans and fighting game enthusiast alike to enjoy the upcoming Dragon Ball FighterZ at said convention. If you happen to see someone about their dog or horse and can’t make it to EVO 2017, a Closed Beta will go live near the end of this year’s Summer for PS4 and Xbox One players. The news pertaining to the Summer Closed Beta was announced by Bandai Namco:

“Look forward to a CLOSED BETA on Xbox One and PS4 before the end of the summer! More info coming soon.”

Lastly, the side-tournament for Dragon Ball FighterZ will allow folks to battle it out and actually play the game when the convention arrives, however the game itself hasn’t been included in the main event. It’s likely that Dragon Ball FighterZ will appear as a main event title for EVO 2018.
