Just Cause 3 Free Multiplayer Mod Goes Live On Steam July 20th

Avalanche Studios may have fumbled out of the gate with the initial release of Just Cause 3 back in 2015, but over time gamers have managed to warm up to the tropical, open-world action title. After fading away for a long after after the DLC released, Just Cause 3 is now back in the news again, but this time featuring the multiplayer mod that gamers have been craving for.

Nanos GBR announced that the Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod will go live starting July 20th, next Thursday.

The multiplayer mod has been in beta for some time, slowly having the bugs and quirks ironed out. Throughout the beta YouTubers have been posting up video footage of the progress that has been made thus far, such as the series of ridiculous videos by Criken2.

12 minutes of mayhem is how to best describe that video compilation.

Anyway, the full launch of the Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod will feature everything that was in the beta and then some, including battle modes, race modes, chase modes, tag, community created game modes, free-roam, and enhanced synchronization to reduce lag and ensure the maximum amount of fun is to be had.

The integration with the Steam version of Just Cause 3 also means that you will need to have a legitimate copy of the game in order to use the mod. If the mod is anywhere near as successful as the multiplayer mod for Just Cause 2, it might end up skyrocketing the sales by an extra 500,000. The original JC2-MP mod bolstered tons of hype and media attention thanks to the quality of the multiplayer synchronization. The original creator was so darn good that he ended up getting hired by Avalanche Studios. The new mod is being put together by a new crew, but the fun is all the same.

You can keep track of the free mod and when it’ll become available on Steam by checking out the official Steam page for the Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod.
