Fans of first-person dungeon crawlers and the ongoing Etrian Odyssey series will have yet another game to look forward to: Atlus’ upcoming Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond The Myth. The DRPG is available right now in Japan, and will head West this fall.
Atlus has announced the launch edition of Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond The Myth, accompanying the launch edition of said DRPG comes a new trailer that covers the Dragoon class. Looking back to the former announcement, Beyond the Myth launch edition will include a 24-page art book, a six-track music CD, and a special outer box for owners to look over.
Looking to the Dragoon trailer that details a brief glimpse at what the class has to bring to a party or a fight, the latest video comes with a description offering an overview of the story in Beyond the Myth.
“Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth – The fifth main installment of the long-running Etrian Odyssey series is finally arriving! Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth chronicles the quest of a new adventurer (hey, that’s you!) as he or she attempts to reach the top of the towering Yggdrasil Tree. For it is said that whoever braves the dangers of the dreaded Yggdrasil Labyrinth and reaches the summit will have their greatest wish fulfilled…”
Attempting to best each segment leading to the Yggdrasil Tree will call for a well structured plan and team, which the Dragoon class opts for a nice defensive and offensive figure on the field. Additionally, the class can soak up damage via guard stances or unleash heavy barrages upon using their hand cannon to protect the team. The new video trailer sits below for you to watch.
Lastly, Atlus announced that it will host a live stream of different Etrian games every Friday starting on July 28th at 3:00 P.M. PT / 6:00 P.M. ET on Twitch, which stands as a reminder for Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond The Myth streaming event on September 15th. More information on this game can be found over on atlus.com.
