Ys VIII: Lacrimosa Of Dana Trailer Covers The Varied Cast Of Characters

NIS America released a new trailer for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, which clocks in at just under a minute long. It features a handful of characters that will join your party in the upcoming JRPG adventure.

The trailer starts with a quick look at the feisty and independent, Laxia. She’s a young noblewoman with a snooty attitude and big wobbly breasts. Another character that they highlight is the honest fisherman, Sahad. He fights with an anchor and has the typical lighthearted, old-man attitude.

Hummel is a gun-wielding transporter, both mysterious and dangerous. Then there’s the flat-chested, braless Ricotta, an indigenous native. She runs around with just a pair of overalls on and nothing else underneath. (Un)fortunately(?) she’s so flat-chested you can’t see a thing.

This trailer follows shortly on the heels of NIS America having released another Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana promo piece a few days ago focused on Dana, the mystical maiden from the game.

If you missed the trailer before you can check it out below.

I was never that big a fan of the Ys series, but it’s nice to see that it’s still going strong enough to warrant a release on home consoles and portable devices. Anything to continue to give Final Fantasy a run for its money is a-okay in my book.

The gameplay features the typical hack-and-slash, real-time combat mechanics that the series is known for, and NIS and Nihon Falcom have also decided to offer up a day one edition that comes with the original soundtrack, a 32-page art book and a booklet. The day one edition will only be available for the PS4, though.

You can look for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana to launch in the West starting September 15th next month for the PS4, PS Vita and Steam.
