Ark: Survival Evolved Gains New Live-Action Episode, More Episodes Planned

Ark: Survival Evolved developers, Studio Wildcard, and close partners Snail Games have worked out a deal with PIXOMONDO — most notable for Game of Thrones Season 2 and onward — and will churn out cinematic live-action episodes for the hit indie Sci-Fi Prehistoric title. The first trailer is now up and available to watch right here.

Found in the description and further revealed in the “Show More” section of the newly posted “ARK Live Action Trailer by PIXOMONDO!” reads the following:

“For the launch of ARK: Survival Evolved, our partners Snail Games have teamed up with the award-winning PIXOMONDO team, including Executive Producer Mandie Briney, the VFX Supervisor from Game Of Thrones Sven Martin, and CEO Thilo Kuther, who worked closely with the creative team from JOJX, including father+son directing team Rocky+Jackson Morton and EP Joe Care to create the concept, the script, to execute this cinematic and thrilling trailer bringing the ARK: Survival Evolved world to life.

Stay tuned as we’ll be revealing more cinematic episodes in the near future!”

If you don’t know, PIXOMONDO filmography can be found in the works of movies like Sucker Punch, Iron Man 2, Super 8, Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, and in TV shows like Fringe (season 1), Terra Nova, and of course Game of Thrones (Season 2 to present). Well, Studio Wildcard and Snail Games thought it would be a good idea to team up with PIXOMONDO to make a cinematic episode series, as noted above, which is present below.

A lot of people say that they want deformed and freakish humanoid abomination characters just like in the game and that caves in the series should be glitchy, with areas resembling that of PvE loaded with pillars. But those request will likely be absent seeing that they are a bit ridicules, but they would be cool to see in action.

It’s hard to tell how the rest of the future episodes will be regarding 3D effects, lighting, camera shots, acting and pacing, given that the above trailer is only 16 seconds in length. I guess we’ll soon get a taste of the series when the next longer video drops showing the Sci-Fi Prehistoric title, Ark: Survival Evolved, in full.

Ark: Survival Evolved is out right now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and currently holds a price tag of $59.99. Additional information on this game sits over on playark.com.
