Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! Restaurant Management Sim Set To Launch On September 13th

Vertigo Games is gearing up to launch their cooking and restaurant management simulator Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! on Steam starting September 13th next week. The upcoming title is a fresh take on the time management sub-genre that was made widely famous by breakout indie hits like Diner Dash.

The new game is a sequel to the original Cook, Serve, Delicious!, adding in some brand new gameplay mechanics, new challenges, and new levels.

The story is kind of silly and seems to take its recipe for world-building from the movie Tower Heist. The original Cook, Serve, Delicious!, restaurant gets closed down after the tower it’s located in loses all its money after the executives are arrested for fraud and embezzlement. The Cook, Serve, Delicious!, Eatery is then relocated to a new Teragon Supertower and it’s up to players to start from scratch and rebuild the restaurant back into its former glory.

You can check out some of the intense gameplay in the trailer below, showcasing some of what you’ll be doing as you attempt to become the greatest restaurant in the world… again.

The game plays out very much like a clicker, where you’ll need to take orders as quickly as possible and keep the line of customers moving, eating, and most importantly, happy.

Despite seeming like a rather simple outing, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! is actually a 60 hour game, sporting a campaign that’s about the size of a Skyrim playthrough.

They’ve also added in a new campaign mode called Chef for Hire, spanning 350 levels across 30 different restaurants, along with the return of the classic mode where you can build up your restaurant and devise your own menu.

New difficulty settings have been added, along with over 180 different food combinations spanning entres, sides, drinks, desserts and main courses. That’s up a total of 150 dishes over the 30 dishes that were featured in the first game.

The developers also top off the feature list with a brand new cooperative split-screen mode, so you and a buddy (or a significant other) can team up and play through the game together.

Oh yeah, and it runs at native 1080p and 60fps… that’s a little cherry on top for those graphics whores in the crowd.

You can learn more about the game by hitting up the official Steam store page as it preps for release on September 13th.
