No matter what you think about EA Sports or the FIFA franchise, the music selection for each annual outing has usually been a spectacular splash of serialized creativity, giving gamers an easel of auricular diversity that spans various genres and regional music tastes. I would be lying if I said that I didn’t at least find some of the songs interesting, and I do admit that some of the FIFA soundtracks have broadened the horizons of my own typically unremitting musical tastes.

Nevertheless, it’s not all about popular music and catchy tunes plucked from the billboard charts from around the globe. EA has also contracted composers to score an original cinematic palette of tunes for the Frostbite-powered story mode called “The Journey: Alex Hunter Returns”.

They didn’t stop there, though.

EA Sports also took things a step further by allowing gamers to customize their team with special Ultimate Team kits based on some of the artists on the soundtrack. Unfortunately, these custom kits are reserved for those who pre-ordered FIFA 18. You’ll receive kits based on Capital Cities, Glass Animals, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Bloc Party, Grouplove, Saint Motel, Zhu and Lemaitre.

I’m sure most gamers have no idea who the heck those people are, and maybe most football/futeball/soccer fans might be just as clueless.

Anyway, you can look for FIFA 18 to launch on September 29th for the Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. You can pick up a digital copy of the soundtrack right now from Apple Music or Spotify.
