Arthurian Legends Hearkens Back To 1990’s First-Person Brutal Action

Looking for a gruesome medieval game? Are you also looking for a first-person melee game that resembles 1990’s action titles like Witchhaven and Hexen? Arthurian Legends seeks to bring just that and then some to PC.

A beta trailer by the Arthurian Legends team is up and shows off what this first-person melee game has to offer. You can watch the one minute and 15 second long beta trailer right here.

From kicking dead wolf and enemy knights heads around, to full on decapitation, Arthurian Legends aims to bring more than just brutal violence but a game with a story:

“Arthurian Legends is a medieval first person action game set in the land of Albion during a time of myth and legend. King Uther banished magic and exiled followers of the old religion from his kingdom, and those who were exiled have now returned and are aiding the Saxons in their invasion of Albion. Battle hordes of Saxons, demonic beasts, undead, knights and more in intense melee and ranged combat. Find awesome weaponry alongside magical runes and ancient relics to aid you in your quest to save Albion from The Masters of the Old Religion.”

Upon saving Albion from The Masters of the Old Religion, weapons such as swords, shields, axes, maces, throwing knives, holy grenades and dual weapons will be no stranger to you.

If conventional weapons aren’t your thing and you feel that blunt and bladed weapons aren’t cutting it, you are more than welcome to try your hand at magic. You can control hordes of enemies with magical powers that can either freeze enemies or unleash bolts of terror.

Moreover, the game wouldn’t be a proper 1990’s tribute if secrets weren’t placed around maps. Magical items, weapons, health pickups and other goods can be found in secrets in every chapter, as well as secret bosses.

The devs are set to release Arthurian Legends sometime in 2018 for PC, and will drop a demo in the near future. More info about this game can be found on arthurianlegends.net.
