Phoenix Online Studios announced that their long-running murder mystery series starring Erica Reed has finally made its way to mobile devices in the form of Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – Game Of The Year Edition. You can currently grab a copy from over on the iTunes App Store or the Google Play Store.
The GOTY edition of Cognition first made its way into the digital marketplace back in 2014 four years ago, but it was only available for Steam and GOG users on PC. According to the PR director at Phoenix Online Studios, the team had wanted to port the game to mobile devices for a while now, but just never got around to it. They finally pulled the trigger and re-released the series of games that originally came out in 2012 and 2013 for iOS and Android users.
Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – Game of the Year Edition features four different cases where she has to track down multiple serial killers. In order to solve the cases she will rely on her cognitive abilities that allows her to see visions of the past related to the cases. She begins following a trail after a mysterious individual begins leaving her clues to follow.
The GOTY edition not only contains the main games but also features behind-the-scenes development diaries, director’s commentary, sketches, outtakes and the usual bonus stuff that comes with the complete pack.
While each of the four main episodes are available on the digital storefronts for $2.99 each, the developers also tossed in extra bonus content for early adopters of episode 1 and 2.
For those who had supported us in our initial iOS releases of Cognition episodes 1 and 2, thank you! Your copies have now been updated to the current bonus-filled edition! Enjoy!

The complete pack is also still available on PC for $14.99.
I imagine people who grew up playing Nancy Drew games from Her Interactive will probably take a modicum of interest in the Cognition series… assuming point-and-click mystery games are your jam.
