Take all of the heroic male leads from Luo Guanzhong’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms and turn them into bountifully-breasted warrior women who are all prime-tier waifu bait, and you end up with Square Enix’s Ranbu: Three Kingdoms Rumble.
Twinfinite spotted the newly announced game, which received a teaser cinematic trailer and an official website with a few CG screenshots. The article notes that it’s a sequel to the 2014 game Sangokushi Rumble, which was a strategy-RPG of sorts for mobile devices.
The English translation hasn’t been provided by Square Enix yet, but Twinfinite estimates that it could be Rumble: Sangokushi Rumble or Rumble: Romance of the Three Kingdoms Rumble.
For now, it appears Square is using the name Ranbu: Three Kingdoms Rumble for the Japanese title, as well as for the game’s hip hop theme song. Yes, a Japanese rap song is the game’s theme song, featuring the beautiful cast of characters in their cleavage-baring outfits. You can check out the teaser trailer below.
Unfortunately we don’t see any of the gameplay, but we do get introduced to a few of the characters, including a gender-swapped Guan Yu and an extremely busty version of Zhuge Liang. One of the prime focuses of the trailer is on the game’s very voluptuous boob physics, where we see them bounce, jiggle and wobble much to the delight of gamers who are very appreciative of fan-service.
It’s tough to tell if the game will retain the old-school strategy combat system that mirrors a lot of mobile army battle games where two sides hilariously clash with stilted sprite animations of two sides bumping into each other, or if they will overhaul the battle system into something a little more… modern?
Either way, the game is scheduled to release on iOS and Android devices at some point in 2019. For more information on the game feel free to visit the official Ranbu website.
