Cannibal Cuisine, Multiplayer Party Game Releases May 20th On Steam, Nintendo Switch

While Sony and Microsoft compete on who can produce the most non-fun, barely interactive, or unengaging forms of software they can for the PlayStation and Xbox ecosystem, Nintendo opened the floodgates for third-party developers to produce any and every kind of game they can think of that falls within the rules of the ratings boards. Heck, they’ll even allow party games about cannibalism!

Belgium-based outfit Rocket Vulture announced that Cannibal Cuisine – a partially lighthearted, medium-hearted, and heavy-hearted party game – will allow you to slice and dice tourists with a couple of friends as you attempt to appease the angry cannibal god, Hoochooboo.

You’ll have to hack, slash, and gather ingredients across a number of levels in order to complete your task starting May 20th on Steam for PC and as a digital download for the Nintendo Switch.

You can even participate in a beta program for the game currently live for the Steam version via the Steam store page.

As showcased in the trailer, there’s a mixture of time-management, melee combat, and platform challenges as you navigate through the tropical jungle at the behest of Hoochooboo.

It’s a colorful game with a weird premise that’s a little bit like a combination between Overcooked, Mario Party and Cannibal Holocaust.

The game doesn’t take itself too seriously despite the themes being suited for a horror game (could you imagine if this was a time-based asymmetric 100-player horror title where four players have to hunt down and kill everyone else to feed them to the cannibal god before time runs out?)

In addition to the co-op modes there’s also a PvP mode where you can compete against other players locally or online.

The game is currently available for pre-purchase at a 25% off discount for only $9.74 over on the Nintendo eShop. Otherwise you can pick up a digital copy on May 20th.
