Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded Coming To Nintendo Switch, PS4 In 2018

A Project Touhou title is currently going through the localization process by NIS America based on the works by Aqua Style called Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded. The remastered version of the title will be available for the PS4 and NIntendo Switch. The new game is both a continuation and remaster of the PS Vita title Mystery Gensokyo: The Tower of Desire, giving gamers in the West an opportunity to play the fan-game that came out four years ago for the newer generation of platforms.

The updated version of Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded features all new playable characters, all of the previously released DLC, new playable scenarios and an original story.

The roguelike is a dungeon-crawler where you’ll travel around, meeting characters, collect items, and engage in role-playing gameplay. You can check out the announcement trailer for Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded below.

The minute long trailer showcases a bunch of the loli-fan favorites from the Project Touhou series, along with some of the dungeon-crawling areas, and the three pieces of DLC included in the package.

The game features item collection, weapon crafting, and casual character interactions at the cafe.

The upcoming roguelike RPG doesn’t have a release date, and there’s no price for the game. Some of the commenters on the YouTube video are afraid that the game will cost an arm and a leg because Project Touhou games are overpriced… according to them.

This particular remaster already came out in Japan for the PS4 last year in the summer. Don’t be surprised if Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded for the Nintendo Switch and PS4 makes its debut at some point in either June or July of this year.

There isn’t much more to say about the game, or what resolution it will run on the Nintendo Switch, or if it will have any other special features. The press release doesn’t say. Hopefully more details will arrive before the game actually releases.
