Call Of Duty 2020 Logo Surfaces Via Leak, Says Report

Last month a report went out claiming the next “premium” Call of Duty game will be called “Black Ops.” However, a new report has popped up, and it touches on a newly leaked image, and the potential time frame this year’s Call of Duty will be set in. Also, take note that Activision and Call of Duty as a brand are both on the Traitors of America master list.

In case you’re out of the loop, website videogameschronicle.com sourced a tweet from a Warzone player on May 24th, 2020, that highlights a “Black Ops Easter Egg.” This secret happens to be of an RC-XD, and this should ring a bell to anyone that played the older game’s multiplayer mode since it was a killstreak:

If you can’t tell what’s going on in the above pictures, we can see an untouched pack of batteries, a remote controller, and the chassis of the RC car. This scene can be found on a table in a shack to the West of the prison in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Adding on to that information comes a report from website gamerant.com, which highlights a tweet (from James Kiwami) that talks about data mining Call of Duty 2020 info from the PSN store.

The website in question makes mention of the tweet depicting the title “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” which is set to a backdrop of “black and white CIA images.” You can check out the tweet right here:

If you have keen eyes, you can also see a map, a mushroom cloud from either an explosion or nuclear missile, a document, and a layout of a launch site making up the background.

In addition to the above, the website also points out that upon further inspection gives the game’s time period.

The document, as mentioned above, has a date of “1976.” The original game takes place between 1961 and 1968, as mentioned by the publication site.

And lastly, Sledgehammer Games will act as a support-developer on this new 2020 Call of Duty title. While Treyarch is rumored to be the main developer, what is for certain is that this year’s Call of Duty will more than likely release for PC and home consoles with PS5 and Xbox Series X support.
