Looking for a new walking simulator to play? Publisher and developer Easthade Studios has you covered with Eastshade. The adventure mystery game with walking sim elements nestled in its core is set to hit PC and home consoles, and currently has no release date.
If you are a fan of walking sims there’s good news for you in that Eastshade will bring just that… along with painting. The game mixes adventure themes such as traversing on the island of Eastshade to capture scenic stills on canvas to help people within the surrounding area, while also exploring and uncovering hidden events and mysteries. The official description states…
“You are a traveling painter, exploring the island of Eastshade. Capture the world on canvas using your artist’s easel. Talk to the inhabitants to learn about their lives. Make friends and help those in need. Visit cities, scale summits, unearth mysteries, and discover forgotten places!”
Looking over to the graphics and painting side of things, the game uses a warm tone with a crisp art-style and an autumn-themed palette. The environments look painted themselves at times to convey the impression that every place can be captured on canvas.
According to Eastshade‘s latest trailer we can see that painting for people acts as a means to progress through certain conversations, which will more than likely double over for progressing through the main story.
While talking, walking, crafting and painting is at the forefront of things in regards to Eastshade, the game also seems to sport a story about you surmounting natural impasses to reach forgotten places. These forgotten places hold all sorts of mysteries as seen in the official trailer below.
The walking sim is said to release for PC via Steam first and then will later hit home consoles. As mysterious as Eastshade’s release date happens to be, the same applies to what home consoles it will release on.
