Code Vein Boss Trailer Shows Off The Successor Of The Ribcage

Code Vein may not be coming out this month or the month after, but Bandai Namco is ramping up the video trailer output to build up hype. There’s no better way to do this than showing off a new boss battle in the September due game.

That’s right a new Code Vein boss has been revealed via a new trailer, and this boss will likely send “game journos” to their keyboards in tears writing up a stink-piece on how the game is “disgusting and too hard.”

While we wait for the inevitable hit pieces from the usual suspects to drop, which will tear the female characters and game’s difficulty a new one, we can see The Successor of the Ribcage looking to bring mayhem next quarter.

The newly dropped trailer depicts the boss with a curious name using attacks that will take skill to dodge. However, its stationary nature might work against it despite the creature’s dangerous and sweeping move set.

The new video ends in typical Code Vein fashion where the player dies, but don’t let that get to you in that the official description offers words to butter up potential fans to prepare for a “ruff battle”:

“Don’t let chains tie down your humanity in CODE VEIN! Prepare for a ruff battle against the Successor of the Ribcage!”

So far, known bosses in Code Vein consist of the Stonecrusher and the Raging Noblewoman, The Queen’s Knight, the Invading Executioner, the Argent Wolf Soldier, the Blade Bearer, and Oliver Collins. The new addition brings the list of formidable opponents to seven.

Anyway, if you are looking to pick up Code Vein and face-off with the numerous bosses or discover whatever the game has to offer, it will launch this year on September 27th across PC via Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.
