Sisters Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire Bullet-Hell SHMUP Launches For Xbox One

Alfa System and Chorus Worldwide announced that the Japanese SHMUP, Sisters Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire, is currently available for the Xbox One. You can pick up a digital copy of the game right now from over on Microsoft Store for $13.99.

The game originally released on the Nintendo Switch and PS4 back in January of 2020. The game follows five sisters who are competitive amongst each other in trying to win over the favor of the angel Yashin. Each of them brings something unique to the table and desperately want to marry Yashin, and it’s up to players to help one of the sisters achieve that goal.

Each of the playable girls have their own shooting styles and special abilities they can use to dispense of enemies, and you can also make use of the Tension Bonus System to multiply your score and rank up your skill.

There’s also a special sixth playable character named Ode who is a witch with some special magic abilities as well as an added high score rank.

Ode is a free update for those who purchase the game, and all you have to do is make sure the game is updated to the latest version to get your hands on the little witch.

I have to admit, I’m somewhat shocked to see a hardcore bullet-hell shooter from Japan appearing on the Xbox One.

The reason I’m shocked is because Xbox isn’t known for courting Japanese titles, and they’ve mostly passed up on a bunch of Japanese fan-service games in favor of focusing on typical Western-style titles.

Hopefully they don’t use this as an opportunity court Japanese developers and then use it as a weed into the industry in order to corrupt the Japanese side of things.

In any case, hopefully this is a small inkling of better games coming to Xbox One, but I tend to doubt it.
