RIDE 3 Coming To PS4, Xbox One, PC November 8th; Runs On Unreal Engine 4

Milestone announced that RIDE 3 is set to arrive on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC starting November 8th later this year. The game is said to be a tribute to all of “motorbike culture” and will feature even more licensed motorcycles in the game than RIDE 2.

The developers will be revising and revamping the realism of the bike handling, the customization features, and the content variety when it comes to options and gameplay modes.

The company has switched over to using the Unreal Engine 4, something they’ve done since MotoGP 18, and they’ve used this opportunity to upgrade and fine tune the bike-handling physics for the upcoming racer. Hopefully it turns out a lot better than MXGP Pro.

You can check out the announcement trailer below to get an idea of what the tracks, modes and bike handling will be like.

The core game will feature dirt bikes, sports bikes, and cruisers.

You’ll have 230 different bikes in total to choose from across seven different bike categories. There are 12 brand new tracks added to the game, up from the 18 tracks in RIDE 2, bringing the grand total to 30 race tracks.

They’ve included a livery editor, 500 customizable parts for both mechanical and aesthetic customization, along with all new particle and lighting effects rendered by the Unreal Engine 4.

They’ve also included night modes for the first time, along with the return of the drone scanning system for the tracks to ensure that they’re the most accurate depiction of the real-life locations.

A new career mode, improved AI, and an overhauled collision system also make the cut.

A second video was also released, giving gamers a look at how the switch over to the Unreal Engine 4 will change the way they visually engage with RIDE 3. Check it out below.

The first behind the scenes video covers how Milestone uses aerial drone-based photogrammetry to laser scan and capture all of the necessary data from a location to recreate it with pinpoint accuracy within the game. They showcase a comparison between the real life location of the Strada della Forra near the Garda Lake near Verona, Italy. The location was the same one used in 007: Quantum of Solace during the opening chase sequence.

This time around you’ll be racing a multitude of high-end and classic motorcycles through the undulating twists and turns around the idyllic mountainside that overlooks the pristine lake below.

As mentioned, you can look for RIDE 3 to launch on November 8th for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. For more info feel free to visit the official Milestone website.
