Pacer Trailer Previews F-Zero-Esque Desert Track

R8 Games released a new trailer for Pacer, the upcoming anti-grav racing game for home consoles and PC. The trailer is just 30 seconds long and gives gamers a look at the Ajura track, with its winding turns, steep descents, and mountainous backdrops.

The trailer really needed to be a lot longer, but the 30 seconds they offer up to gamers gives you just a glimpse of what you can expect from the futuristic racer.

I instantly had flashbacks of F-Zero GX from the Nintendo Game Cube era, based on the track design. The vehicles, however, look similar to the hovercraft from Wipeout. You can get a glimpse of the Ajura track with the trailer below.

A month ago they released another glimpse at the Satawald track during their presentation at this past year’s GamesCom event in Cologne, Germany.

Once again, the trailer is only half a minute long, but it’s visually distinct enough to give you an idea of what to expect from the track and the Tekken-esque soundtrack.

The game was only just announced this past April, so R8 Games have been steadily promoting the upcoming racing title with glimpses of some of the tracks you’ll experience when it launches later this year.

There will be 14 tracks in total and they will support forward, reverse, mirror, day and night alterations to give you some variety when racing on them. You’ll also be able to customize the five different vehicles in the game to upgrade your performance on the track.

The developers are also promising a full 60fps experience across all platforms, with 4K support for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. You’ll be able to get a chance to go hands-on with the game between October 17th and October 20th at the London ExCel exhibition center.

You can look for Pacer to arrive on PC, PS4, and Xbox One this winter. For more information feel free to visit the official Pacer website.
