The latest talk about Star Wars Battlefront 2 by EA and DICE happens to surround that of a notorious feature placed in almost every single recent game, even if it happens to be single-player based game like Middle-Earth: Shadow of War: I’m talking about microtransactions via loot boxes.
Time is money, money is power and power equates to control. The more control you have over someone or something means less opposition and where there is less opposition means you can pull any string without a proper backlash, unless the ones being abused stand up against the one attempting to control them.
Well, coming in as no surprise, EA and DICE have injected another bad case of microtransactions and loot boxes in their game, Star Wars Battlefront 2, showing that they haven’t learned their lesson from the fiasco that surfaced back with LevelCapGaming and Battlefield 1’s loot boxes on January 1st, 2017.
The new system just goes to show that publishers and developers will keep pushing the envelope seeing how far gamers will accept being scammed. I heard about the microtransactions well before this whole thing went down and that was the very reason why I skipped out on the beta, supporting this in the least bit is supporting it to its fullest.
If you happen to be out of the loop as to why this system is called “pay to win” and why so much controversy is sparking all of a sudden, YouTuber YongYea has a video explaining the current situation and the hazard of Crafting Parts (A.K.A. loot box currency) and what they can bring.
Whether you like AngryJoe or not, a video peering deeper into the situation comes in by said YouTuber and happens to give a better look at the mechanics of Star Wars Battlefront 2’s microtransactions and loot boxes.
If all microtransactions, RNG items, loot boxes and other gambling garbage to harp on the weak willed would leave the entire gaming scene, you wouldn’t hear a whisper or a peep from me or others.
Lastly, this whole thing of time-consuming RNG microtransaction will stop if you vote with your wallet and put this shady trash aside and support developers that actually deserve your time and cash.
