X-Morph: Defense Updated With Steam Workshop Support

EXOR Studios announced that the latest major update for their tactical real-time strategy, tower-defense, twin-stick shooter game X-Morph: Defense, has received Steam Workshop support ahead of a DLC roll out for Xbox One and PS4.

The new Steam Workshop update means that you’ll be able to take advantage of community-made mods for the game, which will further extend the playability and replayability for X-Morph: Defense.

The Workshop support allows you to utilize the Schmetterling level editor in order to build brand new levels for the game. Once you get done crafting your very own warzones, you’ll be able to author them on the Workshop and share them with the community.

If you were interested in making your very own levels for X-Morph: Defense, you can check out the editing tools right now or take a look at the 40 minute long tutorial that teaches you how to make levels for the game.

They’re also implementing and testing a Survival Mode, which is currently in beta. It’s been updated with 10 additional levels that is basically an endless mode where you just keep on killing and killing until you can’t kill anymore.

In addition to this, there will be a European Assault DLC pack made available for PC starting March 26th for $4.99. Shortly thereafter they have plans on releasing the DLC for PS4 and Xbox One gamers.

X-Morph: Defense is a hybrid game where you play as the villains – an invading alien species with super high-tech capabilities. It’s kind of like a reverse version of XCOM. You’ll need to establish your ground forces, take over key infrastructure, and also manually take down human forces by manually playing an attack fighter via using twin-stick controls.

You can check out the game over on the Steam store right now or learn more by visiting the official website.
