Undertale And Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Coming To Nintendo Switch

During the Nintendo Direct, a number of announcements were made for the hybrid console from Nintendo, including that Toby Fox’s highly popular RPG, Undertale, is coming to the Nintendo Switch… soon.

Beyond the announcement that the game was coming to the Switch, there was no additional information about the game on Nintendo’s handheld. It’s not a graphically demanding game, so I doubt there’s much that would have to be done in the optimization department, but I suspect that (hopefully) there are additional features added in the way of HD Rumble and proper motion control support.

Again, there’s no release date on when Undertale is coming to the Nintendo Switch, only that it is coming soon.

What isn’t a mystery is that Activision is publishing the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on the Nintendo Switch. This was revealed along with a release date for the Steam and Xbox One versions, which will be available starting July 10th, 2018.

The compilation pack originally came out last year for the PS4, and while it received a lot of positive feedback for its graphical updates and completely remaking the original three games from the PSX, it also received plenty of backlash for being extremely difficult due to the change in physics and the fact that the game only ran at 30fps on the PS4.

They showcase a little bit of the footage on the Switch, and it still appears to be 30fps.

It would probably be better if they axed some of the graphical features and gunned down a 60fps standard instead.

The bundle will include the first three Crash Bandicoot games, which were remade from the ground up by Vicarious Visions.

I’m curious how well the game will be optimized to run in the portable mode, which has proven to give some developers a tough time with AAA titles like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and DOOM.
