Dark Souls Remastered For Nintendo Switch To Debut On October 19th

Dark Souls Remastered Switch edition finally has a release date, which FromSoftware announced via Twitter. The newly announced release date for the Switch version will launch worldwide on October 19th, 2018.

As of right now, the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of Dark Souls Remastered are currently out and available to pick up. If, however, you want to explore publisher Bandai Namco and developer From Software’s action-adventure RPG on Switch, then you have mid-October to look forward to.

The tweet detailing this information can be read over by visiting the given link or by taking a look right here:

It’s also worth noting that Bandai Namco and FromSoftware will hold an online network test session that will be scheduled sometime prior to Dark Souls Remastered release on Switch. In other words, keep your eyes opened for that if you want to see how it plays out.

Furthermore, if you enjoy collecting Amiibos and happen to be a fan of Dark Souls, on the same day as the Switch Remastered debut the devs will release the Solaire of Astora Amiibo.

Moreover, a memo that the devs sent out also touches on the Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered “original” and “Switch version” specs. You can read over the “original” specs here:

  • Resolution: 720p
  • Frame Rate: 30fps
  • Online Players: 1 to 4
  • Online System: Peer-to-peer
  • DLC: Separated

The “Switch version” specs sit below:

  • Resolution: TV mode – 1080p, Portable mode – 720p
