Gear.Club Unlimited Arrives Nov 21st For Switch; Supports 4-Player Split-Screen

After Microids and Eden Games unveiled the official vehicle roster for Gear.Club Unlimited, the company has now revealed the official release date for the game on the Switch. You’ll be able to pick up a digital copy of the game from the Nintendo eShop starting November 21st, which is also when you’ll be able to pick up a physical copy of the game exclusively from GameStop.

This news was also accompanied by a brand new gameplay trailer for Gear.Club Unlimited running on the Nintendo Switch. You can check it out below.

The two minute trailer highlights the game’s features, covering the fact that there are 400 total races to complete across 200 different tracks. More specifically they mention “200 unique” tracks. How well that holds up under playability will be a completely different story, because some games that use that kind of description oftentimes are using some kind of caveat to bolster the amount of playable tracks in the game.

We don’t get to see much of the tracks because the trailer moves on from numerically listing the locations you’ll be racing through to showcasing how you can customize the layout of your garage.

You’ll also be able to customize each aspect of the car, from the performance to the aftermarket parts. You can outfit your ride with custom spoilers, side wings, front bumpers, rear bumpers, exotic paint jobs and more.

Visually the game doesn’t look bad, but it also doesn’t look groundbreaking either. It’s a shame they didn’t really outfit the shaders to better make use of the Switch’s unique graphics capabilities rather than just porting over the game from mobile devices.

The trailer then rounds out with an actual look at the game running at 60fps on the Nintendo Switch, ranging from asphalt races to time attacks, to rally races in off-road environments.

The game also supports split-screen play and online multiplayer. You can play split-screen with up to four players.

It’s certainly not on the level of Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo, but it seems to be the closest kind of game that Switch owners are going to be getting this holiday season come November 21st.
