Sicario: Day Of The Soldado Second Trailer Is Filled With Righteous Fury

Sonic Pictures Entertainment released the second trailer for the upcoming Sicario: Day of the Soldado, which is a beastly movie for people tired of the pansy-made action films that Hollywood has been producing with rote negligence since the end of the ultra-violent era back in the early 1990s.

The second trailer gives you more story and more motivation behind the actions of Benecio Del Toro’s character in the upcoming film, which is due to hit theaters on June 29th. We get a little glimpse of a girl acknowledging who Del Toro’s character is, and she tells him that she knows that he hunts them. We get to see Del Toro executing righteous justice on a scumbag lying on the streets like a crippled pig on a conveyor belt waiting to meet its fate under the blades in a butcher factory.

The two and a half minute trailer puts the hat of villainy on the right target; it makes it known that the enemy of peace, and the enemy of the American people are the uncontrolled and unfettered drug cartels allowed to operate without the extreme prejudice of judiciary action being executed on the streets by the judge, jury and executioner of a steel hammer and a double action trigger.

The suits who ruin our country bring in Josh Brolin’s character because they don’t have the grit to dirty their hands in the blood of war. Brolin decides to bring back the execution artist in the form of Benecio Del Toro, who is tasked with starting a war… with everyone.

Sicario 2

We realize that in one of the scenes the Mexican police attempt to retrieve a girl that Del Toro’s crew has kidnapped. This results in the American soldiers doing what needs to be done, and taking out the weak Mexican police in order to clean up crime. They’re the punishment for a lazy and unmotivated bureaucracy who would rather protect criminals in suits and the thugs that they employ.

Well, in Sicario 2: The Day of the Soldado, all criminals from every echelon gets their comeuppance, and it certainly isn’t doled out with six minutes of silence or peaceful protests in the streets.

Sicario Day of the Soldado - Josh Brolin

On the downside, the movie does appear to take on a more deliberate, Hollywood-influenced plot, as Brolin is ordered to clean up the girl that Del Toro rescued. This turns the film into a “hunt the fugitive” trope that may or may not work out, but it’s cool that this appears to be a nice balls-to-the-walls action flick with lots of good looking gunplay, squib-work and serious performances that Brolin and Del Toro appear to turn in for the sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s surpsie 2015 hit.

For people who want to show that real movies for real men are still worth supporting, feel free to show up at the theaters for Sicario 2 on June 29th.
