The latest single-player/MMORPG by En Masse Entertainment and Naddic Games comes Closers. The game is said to be free-to-play and will launch with episodic storylines. The anime-like game is set to release this year for PC via Steam at some point later in November.
Firstly, Closers is said to be an “episodic anime action RPG” with a true and consistent story. This story broken down into segments will supposedly be free, given that it’s a free-to-play game, and will unfold over several seasons.
In addition to the concept behind Closers, the combat system is a “wild beat-’em-up arcade game” where you assume a character set in the city of New Seoul.
If you happen to hate inter-dimensional aliens, well they’ll be ravaging the streets of New Seoul. The only people capable of stopping this onslaught is a special group of teens formed by the world government. This group of teens possess powerful psychic abilities that must push these inter-dimensional aliens back.
The basic premise, as explained above, can be found in Closers latest Steam page description:
“Closers is an episodic anime action RPG bursting with spectacular battles and steeped in an epic storyline. Choose your Closer, gather your friends or dive in solo, and use your amazing powers to protect Earth, in mankind’s desperate battle against horrific monsters from another dimension!”
You can check out the official trailer showing animated and gameplay scenes mashed together, which comes in by En Masse Entertainment.
If the official trailer is something you can get behind, the so-called creation screen is up for your viewing pleasure that shows playable and customizable characters thanks to AFKalmighty.
You can play Closers either solo or with friends, whilst upgrading skills and taking on other players through its PvP mode.
