Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker Trailer Outlines Co-op Modes, Missions

Bandai Namco rolled out a new trailer for the multiplayer fighting game, which is scheduled to launch on August 31st at the end of the month. The trailer covers the four cooperative modes for Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker.

The trailer is tight and short, clocking in at just a minute in length. It covers the game’s four cooperative modes, starting with the search mode, where players will team up with their buddies and then attempt to search for a specific item within a specific area.

The second mode is extermination, which focuses on players having to team up with their buddies to take out a set number of enemies. It’s a basic hack-and-slash mode. You can see what both the modes are like with the trailer below.

The other two modes include bodyguard, where players are required to safeguard another character until they reach a specific location. Bodyguard involves protecting the character with other players while other enemies and objects attempt to waylay your efforts.

Last but not least is subjugation, which requires you to team up with your squad and take on other enemies and bosses.

The gameplay here looks very much like a typical MMO. The environments and levels are all designed to be large and spacious, with enough room for players and their ninja squad.

Gameplay is typical hack-and-slash action, with the various customizable ninja units occupying the basic classes you’re used to from the series.

It looks like a modified version of Ultimate Ninja Storm series, where you have your basic attacks, Jutsu, projectiles, and some defensive capabilities.

There’s nothing particularly special about the gameplay, and nothing really noteworthy. Again, this looks like the kind of game where if you enjoy Naruto Shippuden and wanted something oriented around throwaway MMO-style missions,

I don’t know if this is the sort of game that will capture any kind of an audience other than the hardcore Naruto crowd, but you can look for it to drop on August 31st.
